1) Basicly this game you need to know all the basic first before going heroic. If you understand the basic fundamental and game mechanics.
Some might get D.wei on 3300 init, some might get D.wei on 3800 init and some might get D.wei on after getting Gan Ning. So the basic is understanding the equipment

Immu - Reduce Damage from crush (the first damage)
Harm - Increase Damage of hero crush (only work on tarrain tactic field hero)
Attack - Raise Attack Damage
Defense - Raise Defense
Trick - Raise Spell Damage
Tactic - Raise Chance to cast spell successful
Block - Reduce Spell Damage

2) Its advisable to get 4 star equip for heroic. If can't try get suitable equip suitable for each hero.
Tips:
a) get immu equip on Xuchu
b) get block equip on each hero, atleast 2 or 4 star
c) get trick equip on T.S.Ci or hero with higher lead
d) get harm on Tarrain hero
e) get attack or troop for hero with higher force

3) Each hero is special depending on their Tarrain Tactic, Lead and Force.

Tarrain Tactic affect the hero capacity.
Lead affect skill block rate.
Force affect hero's attack and defense.

Tips:
Minimum hero must be at 85 level.
Understand your hero capabilities http://www.heyshell.com/cot/zhongxin_gonglue/9.html

Therefore try to use hero Tarrain Tactic on suitable field.

4) Foster

Tips:
Get all hero to be foster at 40 -50% bar.

5) Armament

Tips:
a) Get Yunti / Juma and XingZhunChang at around level 60
b) Get JingLan / DaoChe and ChangBingChe at around level 35
c) Get Gem all level 8 to 9 minimum

Bonus
d) Get Horcrux Defend and Storm lvl 1

6) Getting heroes line up base on their best uses:

Tips:

Yue Jin until X.H.Dun
Xu Chu / Zhu Rong / Zhou Tai / T.S.Ci / X.H.Dun
(Xu Chu must cast skill successful to cancel 1st skill cast)
(T.S.Ci must block skill successful)

Z.Liao
T.S.Ci / Zhu Rong / Zhou Tai / Xu Chu / X.H.Dun
Tips: You need to play it manually, make sure Xu Chu stun Z.Liao to avoid been skill 2 times

D.Wei
Xu Chu / Zhou Tai / T.S.Ci / H.Zhong / X.H.Dun
(Xu Chu must cast skill successful to cancel 1st skill cast)
(H.Zhong must block skill successful)

All of this sometimes depend on luck to block and cast. Wish you all the best

Ok this might not be the best strategy but atleast its an idea to begin with. You all can debate but please input positive debate for sharing.

Gems: 9/9/9/9/9/7
Armament: 61/61/61/31/31/32
Polish: 2/3/2/2/3/2
Xu Chu level 87 with Immune, Zhou Tai level 80 with Block, TSCi level 87 with Block/Immune, Zhen Ji level 86 with Ironwall, XHDun level 87 with Attack/Harm/Troops

It is related to the block rate of your hero's equip attributes 'Block Rate' and level.

In city last stage heroic d.wei from my exp u can use cao ren will be effective than h.zong.
Xu chu,z.tai,tsc,cao ren,x.dun.
Why use cao ren coz last stage in city and cao ren have 35% attacker in city will be effective than h.zong.
z.tai dont do casting skill in first atck do it in last row hope skill z.tai dont block npc(z.tai can kill npc 2 snd reduceAnd c.ren hope block skill d.wei and casting skill to d.wei always use manual.
equip z.tai give atck,def,harm and some troop. Cao ren atck,def,tactic,trick.

The highest level of equip you can buy in store is level 3 (shown by 3 stars). But equips can be refined to level 4 (4 stars). FYI, refine is related to probability. And Advanced Refine has better chance than normal refine. Then, ultimate refine enjoys better chance than advanced refine. Good luck.

Filth Tsc will be good if equip give trick,tactic and atck olso using liege can max his skill atck dont give immu lol..
Immu giving to x.chu olso atck and def.
X.dun giving harm,atck,def and some troop.
I think block equip will not using will be good if change with another equip like harm tactic.

just to fix some mistakes about equip
immu : reduces dmg the heroes get with each hit
harm : increase dmg u deliver with each hit (most noticeable on terrain matching hero )
trick : increase skill dmg by a certain amount ( no one knows how much exactly or what it is based on )
tactic : increase skill dmg by a % (no one knows that % exactly or what it is based on)
block : reduce skill dmg of ur enemy on you by a certain amount ( no one knows how much exactly or what it is based on )
ironwall : reduce skill dmg of ur enemy on you by a % (no one knows that % exactly or what it is based on)
otherwise this guide is extremely helpful to new players ( I used it to get d wei at my beginnings )
nothing and i repeat NOTHING affects ur block of skills or casting more successfully than a hero's lead , equip DOESN'T affect that .
if you have gan ning , definitely use him , I prefer instead of H zhong , since dun still get boost from all terrains despite his lack of skill
I agree with red regarding cao ren but not only against d wei , use him in every city terrain in that instance ( cities mostly easier than normal terrains cause of city hero boost )

I have problems with the D.Wei compaing, I can't pass first stage, my server is new and my newest generals seems strong enough but the enemy skill hurts a lot and mine does nothing to them. Also, in all guides armaments level required is too high also you advise to have Horcrux, it requires a lot of vouchers, how to get to that level fast?

Init is initiative.
Its something that gauge your current strength level.
You can see it in arena when you click to vs your opponent.
Horcrux doesn't give real init as it doesn't apply to all your gens.

Hi all,

I do not know if this is the right thread to ask newbie questions. Anyways, 1) how does the Initiative get increased?
And 2) Most of the army of the first attacking hero gets utterly crushed even before the battle starts, what should I do to avoid this? - it is really demoralizing to play.

Init is combination of your combat powers = heroes level,armanent,ordance,liegemen,hocrux,chariot,suits,starlight,trinkets etc...increase these will increase your init.

Most init very high because they build hocrux and chariot..

in order to avoid getting crushed,you need to have good strategy lineup.having good liegemen and your defend hocrux important.
