My son is getting his first computer this month, and we're looking for what I mentioned in the post: software that will monitor which applications (and maybe browser activity) he uses, and logs it, and one that restricts unsafe or unseemly websites, in specific and by "genre."
For the restrictive one I've been using K9 Web Protection for some time (on our shared PC) and it's been fine. In that category I'm mainly asking if there's something better.
For the monitoring and logging, it's pretty self explanatory, but I'll elaborate. He's pretty adamant about running his own show (he's 16), so instead of butting in on the computer I'm looking for something that will log time spent on individual applications, so we can keep use reasonable.
I'll say this again, too, he'll be running Windows 10, so only suggestions that are supposed to be compatible with said Windows iteration, please.
I also want to ask about multiple profiles, because I'll have an admin profile on this computer, but in past experiences with this (a secondary desktop that was intended as a bridge between sharing a computer with me and having his own) World of Tanks (and other games) wouldn't work unless opened in the admin's profile. This happened on a computer equipped with Windows 7, which is probably relevant.
Thanks for any input, suggestions, and advice you may have.

I don't know how to install parental control in Windows. However, I can say that parents can set a restriction on certain words in the browser and a restriction on all 18+ sites or sites with the words 'sex' and 'porn' in the name. Manually, anyone can add links to specific websites that the child won't open if he doesn't know my password. My son now has an iPhone 7. I installed parental control on it through the usual system settings. The settings are synchronized with all offers and Safari, as it is written in familyorbit.com. iOS is a very convenient system because even without parental control, the phone will restrict unacceptable content.
