I purchased a cheap action cam to mount on my tractors. The camera I purchased is an SJCAM M20 that has electronic or digital stabilization which from the attached video is pretty worthless. Wondering if any you guys are running action cameras and what type of budget hardware works well for you . I have no plans on building a YouTube type channel, just for my own enjoyment.

I see it's been a while since you've posted, but I just wanted to ask if anyone's tried mounting a cam using a magnetic base with vibration damping pads? I’ve seen some setups for off-road vehicles that use those to cut down shake, especially on metal frames. Curious how they’d hold up on a tractor, especially around the engine bay or loader arms.

I mounted mine using a magnetic base on the ROPS and it holds great, even on rough ground. I share my footage with friends and found medium.com handy for writing up short posts with video links. It's easier than emailing giant files and looks cleaner too. The magnets can shift a bit on real bumpy rides, so a bit of rubber between the magnet and metal helps it stay put.
