no, you will not lose them, but you can not buy the food through swop.

The more food the better. When u higher level, you will use a lot of food to lvl up

you can't overload food at later
i am just before reset only have at max 1m foods
my vip = 0
my swop has cooldown
and after update dark arisen from explore i got 1x 100vouchers the rest i collect 300k silvers
every battle i am enjoying fighting tons of generals with various colour and level (sometimes i fought below lvl 40 hero)
