For use with a small point and shoot digital camera. Need it to make run and drive videos looking over my shoulder looking at both the instrument cluster and out the windshield. I made this video of my parts car by holding the camera in my hand, but that's kind of limiting.

I see it's been a while since you've posted, but I just wanted to ask if anyone here has tried using a clamp mount on the headrest poles for interior car shots. I've been thinking that might be more stable than a dashboard mount, especially with vibrations over bumpy roads. I'm also wondering how well those suction mounts hold up on longer drives—any issues with them falling off mid-trip?

I mounted mine to the headrest using a bar clamp and a GoPro-style adapter—it keeps the frame steady and catches a natural view through the windshield. I recently found a list at https://www.technology.org/2025/ ... ion-camera-in-2025/ that gave me ideas for upgrading the camera itself. The 360 options there look super useful for smoother pans and wider coverage while driving.
