EA confirmed soon afterward in May that a new Madden NFL game would be Mut 21 coins published later in the year (along with a brand new FIFA instalment). However, shortly before that, EA pushed the match reveal due to the nationwide protests in the United States after the killing of George Floyd. The match was later revealed in full later in June. Because of Washington Redskins declaring it would be changing its name to drop the team's controversial moniker, EA announced the team's latest logo and title would be removed from Madden NFL 21 as well, and could be replaced with a generic name and buy Madden nfl 21 coins logo until new ones were finalized, which could subsequently be added into the game later.
