You cannot deduct the value of gifts you make (other than gifts that are deductible charitable contributions).

I'm 100% sure that if you’re giving money or a present to the couple, it’s just treated as a personal gift, so there’s no tax benefit for the giver. Similarly, if you’re the one receiving wedding gifts, you don’t need to report them as taxable income.
