Click that yellow >> button to accelerate with gold but these tech are not really 'required on the spot' so better wait for it. If we can spent so many hours playing this game, waiting for few hours shouldn't be an issue. If patience level is rather thin, perhaps start the research before you go to sleep, once you wake up, its done.
