Offense

Harm- Raises Skill Attack Rate (Improves chance to overcome Block Rates for Skill Attacks)
Smash - Raises Attack (Normal Attack Power Raised)
Trick -  Raises Skill Attack(Special Attack Power Raised)
Decay - Raises Attack Rate(what exactly is Rate?  Does this mean improved chance at Criticals)

Forces

Command - Increases Forces(Increase Army Size)

Defense

Shield - Raises Skill Defense Rate(Improves Block rate against Skill Attacks)
Toughness - Raises Defense (Improves defense against regular Attacks)
Resist - Raises Skill Defense(Mitigates damage from a Succesful Skill Attack)
Immunity - Raises Defense Rate(Reduces odds of getting hit by Criticals????)


Level 35 Unlocks Rare Equipment.  This is 0-1 Star Equipment.  
Level 53 Unlocks Epic Equipment.  This is 0-2 Star Equipment.
Level 70 Unlocks Legendary Equipment.  This is 0-4 Star Equipment.

Each Star Represents how many Skill Slots are on a piece of equipment.  
0= Zero Skills, 1= 1 Skill, 2 = 2 Skills, 3= 3 skills and  4= 4 skills.  

Generally when you buy gear it is best to keep refreshing the shop till you get the gear with the highest Star available.  This isn't critical with Rare and Epic as you will hopefully be replacing them really quickly with ultimately Legendary Gear.   However with Legendary it is best to only buy 3 star equipment and skip on anything weaker.  Upon first reaching Level 70 gold tends to still be in short supply and Legendary gear is rather expensive at 80k each.   

Free Refine = 1 refine per hour.
Advanced Refine = Unlimited Refines but they cost 5 Diamonds each time.  
**Note: There is not an improved chance with Advanced Refine, this selection merely lets you refine way more than 24 times a day***

How to get 4 star gear(Also known as Hidden Skills)
Use Free Refine to get your gear to all level 4 skills, probably best to level up your gear evenly.  I recommend using your diamonds for only 2 things.  1:  Worshipping for Iron or Gems or 2:  Trying to level your gear from level 4 to level 5.
Once you have all level 5, I then recommend you use free refines to try to get your Hidden Skills(4th star)

Break Down of Skills:  I would think that each skill has a opposite
Harm vs Shield  (Effects Blocks)  ***Developers I would also like to confirm that I understand this match up correctly***
Smash vs Toughness (Effects Regular Damage)
Trick vs Resist (Effects Skill Damage)
Decay vs Immunity (Effects Criticals?)   *****Developers Please help me Clarify what exacty Decay Vs Immunity does.****

Update to Guide.    While the above 'vs' seems to be accurate,  we learned there is another type of match up with skills.
Smash and Decay vs Toughness and Immunity
   Smash and Toughness:  These are BASE SKILLS.   Lets Say you are fighting an enemy.  You do 100 damage to the enemy without modifications.   Smash and Toughness then come in and affect this number.  Lets say its 5 Smash vs 3 Toughness.   Lets say its 5 damage per item.   I get +25 to my damage OUTPUT and you get +15 to your damage NEGATION.   Therefore i do 110 after the calculation.
  Decay and Immunity:  I BELIEVE the way this works is Rate = %.   Lets say for easy math that each skill = 5% bonus.  Let's also say that we have 5 smash/toughness.  At zero kills My damage is 100, if I have 2 decay/immunity thats 10%.  So this gives me a total of 100+10 = 110 damage.  If I have the 5 skills and I am at 125, then that is 100+25=125+12.5= 137.5 damage.


Trick and Harm vs Resist and Shield
These may just work the same way, but I believe that Harm vs Shield affects block rates.

I am dissapointed.   If Harm does not increase ability to overcome block then can you please explain what affects blocking?  How do I improve my odds of not getting blocked by high lead heroes like nicole.

Firstly, thanks for your appreciation.

Secondly, I do not have the exact figures.
Harm increase your skill attack damage, dont increase your skill hit rate.
If your Shield is enough high you can block lots of skill attack from enemy.

At last, all of rate in our game is not influence hit rate. Rate increase your basal attack and defense date. Rate can make your equip even better.

I appreciate the feedback, but it still isn't clear.

Would you say that Toughness and Smash are flat numerical values, while Immunity and Decay are Percentage(%) Values?  This would be logical if as you say Immunity is reliant upon Toughness, because otherwise how would it actually affect the skill?

Also can you confirm,  Does Shield increase Block % and does Harm help negate the enemies Block %?

It differs from man to man. From actual effect, Immunity is better than Toughness.
In my option, attack is the most valuable, so attack rate--Decay is my first chose.
But someone think that defense is the most valuable, so they chose Immunity or Toughness.
This is an interesting of equip
