Title: New House Build - help with planning permission
Hi, We bought land in Central Portugal (part rustic part urban) and intend to build a new house (nothing fancy, 200 m2 max, single storey, flat roof). We have a design in mind (and a set of floor plans) but need someone to complete Engineering Drawings (incl sewage, electrics, drainage etc) and help us obtain a licence to build.
Any recommendations? How much should we budget for this? Anybody here with fairly recent experience? Many thanks for any help.

Hi, we're nearing the end of a build. It's a complex process!

Hi! Unfortunately, it is unlikely that you will find a good architect for a lower price. However, you can distribute different tasks between different specialists to reduce construction costs.
I learned to build a house on boutiquehomeplans.com. Each stage of the whole process is described in detail there. I advise you to study this article to have a clearer idea of what needs to be done.
Although I have a friend-an architect who recently graduated from university, he charges inexpensively for his projects. If you want, I can give his contacts in private messages.

Building a house is no small feat, and finding the right resources is key to making smart decisions. Recently, I stumbled upon an article on Immobel Poland’s site:  https://www.immobelpoland.com/un ... pstone-in-building/  It’s a game-changer for understanding the fundamentals of capstones and their importance in construction. The content breaks down what capstones are, why they matter, and how they enhance both the durability and aesthetic of your home. It’s written in a way that’s easy to grasp, even if you’re not a construction expert (like me!). I’m so glad I found this site—it's a treasure trove of knowledge for anyone planning to build. If you're in the same boat, I highly recommend giving it a read.
