Title: Are wedding gifts considered a tax write off?
You cannot deduct the value of gifts you make (other than gifts that are deductible charitable contributions).

I'm 100% sure that if you’re giving money or a present to the couple, it’s just treated as a personal gift, so there’s no tax benefit for the giver. Similarly, if you’re the one receiving wedding gifts, you don’t need to report them as taxable income.

Generally speaking, wedding gifts aren’t considered a tax write-off. Since they’re personal gifts, the IRS doesn’t allow you to deduct them from your taxes — even if they’re expensive or given to multiple people. The only exception would be if you’re donating to a qualified nonprofit in honor of the couple, but that’s a different scenario altogether.

That said, it’s always nice to give something thoughtful or stylish — especially if you’re close to the couple. I’ve actually found some great ideas on https://wehilion.com/ recently, especially if you’re thinking about gifting something wearable like a high-quality suit or blazer for the groom. Practical and memorable!

Hope that helps!

Most people talk about the same big-name betting sites, but I feel like there have to be some lesser-known platforms that are just as good, if not better. I’m tired of high fees and poor customer service. Anyone discovered a hidden gem recently?
