2019 - Nike is partnering with the International Girl Crew (IGC), a global collective of six women across different creative fields, to design three Nike By You Air Max palettes — for the Air Max 90, Air Max 95 Nike Air Max 90 Dámské and Air Max 97Nike Air Max 90 Dam  — inspired by the Nike Air VaporMax Dam group’s worldwide travels. Colorway options range from the mossy greens and grays of the Scottish highlands to rich purples and greens from fruit stands in Mexico City to the sandy spheres made by bubbler crabs on the beaches in Koh Lipe, Thailand. Customization extends to unique materials and finishes with the choice of classic Nike branding or the IGC logo. 2019 - The road to gold isn’t pretty. And every year, the competition gets tougher — athletes have to train more and fight harder than ever before. But the top of the podium is worth the calloused hands and trembling muscles.
The special-edition “Medal Strong” Metcon 5 honors this gritty journey. The hazy black upper appears distressed, as though it has been broken in and sweated on. The Nike Metcon 5 “Medal Strong” will appear on the competition floor in August. It releases July 22 for NikePlus members and globally July 25. 2019 - The Converse Chuck 70, built from the 1970 articulation the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star, has solidified a reputation as a designer favorite. For Los Angeles-based artist Joshua Vides and Chinatown Market’s Michael Cherman, the shoe is also an invitation for hands-on experiences.
Cherman’s vision for the shoe employs a light-sensitive, multi-tone asymmetrical canvas upper, which transforms when exposed to UV light. Vides allows for a more intentional transformation: His Chuck 70 incorporates interchangeable Velcro panels in custom Pantone colors.
Converse adds to this mix by Nike Air Max 95 Dámské offering a third Nike M2k Tekno Mujer sneaker with its own evocative Nike Air Max 95 Mujer release. The UNT1TL3D pack carries an exaggerated midsole and an upper features hand-drawn iterations of the phrase “NOT A CHUCK” — an ode to DIY decoration and the notion that a Chuck is defined only by the wearer.
All three shoes launch during ComplexCon Chicago, July 20 and 21, at the Converse booth. Broader releases for each of the Chuck 70s follow: July 26 for the Converse x UNT1TL3D; August 2 for the Converse x Chinatown Market;  August 16 for the Converse x Joshua Vides. 2019 - Highlighted by new versions of two classic basketball silhouettes, Converse’s fall footwear channels ’90s hoops vibes in familiar and unexpected ways. Several elements of the decade's sportswear history is reflected — including an early penchant for tracksuits to a later embrace of bold Nike Internationalist Dam geometries — and Nike Air Max 270 Donne re-crafted. Originally Nike Air Max 90 Womens Blue released in 1995, the Converse Voltage made an immediate statement on collegiate and NBA courts through its dynamic “bolt-chevron” upper pattern. That it was worn by some of the era's most potent guards led to its mystic and made the shoe a cult favorite (lock-up with school uniform styles helped too).
For 2019, the Voltage is brought back from the archives for the first time, its spirit channeled through the new, women's-only VLTG. This vision of the shoe reinterprets the ’95 silhouette with an exaggerated heel arch, lightweight SmartFoam cushioning and street-ready herringbone outsole.
