Trying to cut down on alcohol intake at gigs. There is zero doubt 2 beers loosens me up and is a perfect mix for me before a gig. But, sometimes people buy us shots, sometimes I'm literally thirsty, sometimes I get started and order beers in between, etc...
Over the course of an entire night I'm always OK, but one thing we have started doing is bringing some 0.0% Heineken which is actually not bad when really cold. I actually found Guinness Draft non-alcohol which is very good!
So even if we have some shots over the course of night, drinking non-alcoholic beverages in between is great.
But, honestly just some really good calming option pre-gig might be best and I'm researching hemp or CBD infused drinks now.
Straight up THC and I can't be trusted to not get goofy, which would make me even more anxious at a gig.
Thoughts?
Meditation, etc. don't seem to work well especially if we are humping a ton of gear and the clock is ticking...
