I've been playing around with a few AI tools lately, mostly for image editing and art generation, and I’m genuinely curious — is it even possible for an AI to nudify images without pulling data from real-world nude references? Like, does it just invent things based on shapes and logic, or is it trained on something more specific? I’m asking because the results sometimes seem too realistic. What exactly is going on under the hood here?

That’s actually a really interesting question. I had the same doubt when I first discovered some of these nudify tools. I tried this site recently, and it kind of blew my mind how it can generate something so plausible with just a single input image. From what I understand, a lot of these tools use deep learning models trained on massive datasets that probably include nude imagery to help them "guess" what might be behind clothing. But it’s not like the output is a replica of any particular photo — it’s more like an informed reconstruction. Still, there’s definitely some grey area here, both technically and ethically. I wonder how much of the output is pure generative logic versus dataset influence. Has anyone else tried these tools from a purely creative or experimental standpoint?

I’ve only messed with these tools a bit out of curiosity, but yeah, I can see what you’re both saying. It's hard to tell where the line is between educated guesswork and reference-based replication. I wouldn’t use them for anything serious, but it’s fascinating tech from a digital art perspective.
