Kind of a strange question to ask
I’ve never tried to control my weight / drop weight. I cycle a lot, eat whenever I’m hungry (which is a lot / all the time) and my weight has been +/- 3-5 for 10 years
I already eat a pretty clean diet. We cook almost all our meals, low meat / high veggie, not much processed foods, etc. But i eat a lot. 3-4k calories / day is what I’ve been counting. And I eat a lot on the bike, and when I don’t eat enough I bonk.
If I wanted to drop 10lbs for spring cycling season and not lose power, how do I do it?
When I try to just eat less / skip one of my breakfasts I get grumpy or it impacts my workouts.
Any tips?

Drink a lot more water/carbonated water. Eat a little bit less.

I used to cycle a lot too and found that just cutting calories didn’t always work for me either. What helped was tweaking my diet a bit more. I started using steroids for a short period to boost my metabolism and maintain energy levels while dropping a few pounds. Along with that, I focused on eating nutrient-dense foods and timing my meals around workouts to keep my energy up. Maybe give that a try if you’re looking to shed a few pounds without losing power.

To lose weight, focus on a balanced diet with plenty of fruits, vegetables, and lean proteins, while reducing processed foods and sugary drinks. Incorporate regular exercise, like cardio and strength training, and consider enjoying lower-calorie options, such as dutch bros small price beverages. Setting realistic goals, staying hydrated, and getting enough sleep are also essential for long-term success. Always consult a healthcare professional before making significant changes.
