Hi all! I am currently looking for a company to make custom cabinets for my kitchen and bathroom. I came across MaineCabinetCompany, they promise to make both modern and classic styles, which is important to me because I have a hard time choosing. My kitchen is not very big and I am afraid that too many details will make the space cluttered. I really like crown moldings, but I am worried that they may look bulky in a modern kitchen. Does anyone have experience with such companies? And what do you think of quartz countertops for the bathroom? I am looking for something practical and beautiful, but I am afraid that I will choose the wrong one.

I just recently renovated my kitchen and ordered custom cabinetry. I worked with the company https://mainecabinetcompany.com/. I also had a hard time choosing a style, because modern minimalism is beautiful, but sometimes it can look too cold. So I decided that I would combine modern elements with traditional accents. In the end, I installed a quartz countertop - it is durable and, most importantly, very easy to maintain. I love the look of it - it is perfect for the kitchen and bathroom. And when it comes to quartz, you can choose not only white or gray, but also deeper shades that add sophistication. As for moldings, I think it really depends on the space. For a small kitchen, moldings may be overkill, and they can create a feeling of clutter. But if you have enough space, then moldings add elegance. I chose moldings, but not so big and bulky, but neat, almost invisible ones that just slightly emphasize the shape of the cabinets. This is a great way to add a little classicism without making it too cluttered. And as for the functionality of the kitchen, don’t forget about additional elements, such as pull-out drawers or hidden shelves, which make storage much easier. It’s also worth considering how your kitchen will look in a few years – you need to choose materials and colors that will not go out of style.

I think it is always worth finding a balance between aesthetics and functionality, especially when it comes to the kitchen and bathroom. I have also thought about quartz countertops and I think they would be the right choice. They are practical and low maintenance. Plus, they can look stylish and modern. As for moldings, yes, it is a difficult question. I think that if the kitchen or bathroom is not very large, it is better not to overload the space with details. But if there is enough space, moldings can add a certain sophistication.
