I hadthe same issue a while back when fitting my Invisacook Induction Cooktop, and I found that checking the cable size and breaker rating first saved loads of hassle. Some of these newer units draw more power, even if you're assuming it's like-for-like. I ended up upgrading my MCB to handle the load properly. Worth double-checking before wiring it up.
