I’ve been sorting through a box of old German Pfennig coins, trying to figure out if any of them are worth more than just sentimental value. I know condition matters a lot, but I’ve also heard that some years or mint marks are way more valuable than others. The problem is, I don’t know what to look for. Are there specific years or markings that make certain 1 Pfennig coins rare? And where’s the best place to check their actual market prices?

When it comes to German coins, details like mint marks and condition play a huge role in determining value. Some 1 Pfennig coins are common and barely worth anything, while others—especially ones with limited minting—can fetch higher prices. A reliable place to check their values is https://coinstrail.com/catalog/g ... 004c80828517e998419 They provide real sale prices based on different coin grades, so you can compare what you have to actual market data. If you want to get the best value when selling, I’d recommend identifying the rare years first and making sure your coins are properly graded before listing them anywhere.
