Yes, that´s true as so many of stages are mountain terrain. Yet I didn´t want to waste so many tokens on Zhang Fei, who is fragile against skill and better save tokens for Zhang Jiao. But I have to admit, that is probably the easiest way to get Jiang Wei. My strategy is aimed for people who want to use Guo Jia until they get Sun Jian.

I got Jwei last night. My line up: SMyi Gjia Sunce Zhuge Zyun (full immu, storm). 1st row of Zyun can destroy whole npc4 and manage to block Jwei. Then 2nd row of Zyun finish Jwei.

I feel Jwei is not so strong. Should I use him long or not? I will get Zjiao in a month and my gen now is Gjia Zyun Zhuge Sunce Luxun. I feel Jwei is not much better than Luxun.

And I don't really understand how Jwei skill work? That 8FoldMaze.

Yes, once you block Jiang Wei, he is not that difficult to beat in instance.

Jiang Wei is worth to train if you want to awaken him later.

Jiang Wei is good but he needs to be used in combo with other generals. I found accidentaly that if you cast his skill Eightfold maze and then shoot skill of another hero through the maze, the damage will be much much higher and despite of maze is efficient only for one row in melee combat, the skill damage taken by rows that are not standing in maze will be as high as the damage taken by row standing in the maze. This is very useful in trial tower, biography and star atlas, as you can hurt final bosses very badly.

Now my favourite tactics with Jiang Wei are these :

1. Jiang Wei + Zhao Yun combo - if you cast JW skill from last row (depends on blocking ability, I used to cast from first row if knowing the opponent will wipe all JW army with skill) followed by Zhao Yun, you probably kill a lot with Zhao Yun´s skill and get amazing miss rate for few rounds as Zhao Yun´s miss ability is greatly enhanced by Jiang Wei´s maze.

2. Jiang Wei + Sun Ce - you´ll have Sun Ce with miss ability for few rounds.

3. Jiang Wei + Zhuge Liang - together with Zhuge´s buff, extremely efficient on water as Zhuge is good blocker so you´ll enjoy a lot of miss rounds with Zhuge buffed.

Also other type of cooperation should be nice (with Zhang Fei (used it often in trial tower) and Guan Yu (don´t like this general´s ability).

One more notice - I use Jiang Wei as caster  and very rarely as melee damage dealer, therefore I equipped him with full attack armor bcs. attack enhances also skill attack of general. So his skill damage was very good and if he managed to survive enemy´s skill, he was quite good damage dealer.

And for Eightfold maze : it decreases capability (attack + defense) of opponent´s row in maze for 5 rounds with a chance for miss Jiang Wei´s row in melee combat. I find it better than Lu Xun´s skill. As for me, I am lvl 142 now and use Guo Jia, Zhuge Liang, Jiang Wei, Sima Yi and Zhao Yun. Heroes that I often train are Sun Ce and Liu Bei. But when I will get Zhang Jiao and Sun Jian, my line up will be Zhuge Liang, Sun Jian, Zhang Liao, Sima Yi and Zhao Yun with Sun Ce, Guo Jia, Liu Bei and Jiang Wei in battalion.

Thank you so much for the detail explanation. I may not be able to awake him but I will try to use him. It's so hard to save atoken and I want to awake Zyun only. If it take too long, maybe awake ZJiao.

my z.yun block jiang wei skill..and he finished by z.yun....
i think gjia and sunce's map is hardest than jiang wei map....

At first I dont like Jiangwei, but now he is great asset to me.
I put him in front of Zfei so he can cast skill at his last row, thus Zfei would deal higher skill damage to opponent, suffer lower skill damage and more probability to dodge enemy common attacks.

I learn that when eightfold maze casted, jiangwei's ability to dodge is lesser than other general.
you will have better dodging probability when other general is enjoying jiangwei's eightfold maze.
