Running is very good variant for workout. It provides a lot of benefits for body and health in general. Talking about treadmill, it is great decision for home or gym. For example it can be rain or too cold/icy outside. In such case you will get the same cardio at home! There are special compact devices for this purpose, you can check examples on  Merchdope blog.
