For years I had the color changing with a remote LED lights on my front porch and they finally gave up the ghost. I ordered new off Amazon and they came with everything I needed, however I noted they only had LEDs every 2 or 3 inches vs the old at every 1 inch. I installed just thinking, well maybe that's the way it is.... wrong new lights are outputting much less bright than the old.

Anyone have a suggestion?

I need 32 ft and they are outside but covered over by the porch. Need to have the ones I can change color as I want.

I see it’s been a while since this was posted, but I’ve been thinking about adding LED strips to my covered patio and was wondering how well the waterproof options actually hold up over time. Has anyone had theirs up for more than a year? Curious if they start to yellow or peel off, especially in areas with lots of sun or humidity.

I went with LED light strips from Modern Chandelier for mine and they've held up really well outside through sun and rain. The waterproof rating checks out, and the adhesive backing stuck fine to treated wood. Plus, they were super easy to cut and reconnect around corners. Power supply was the only thing I had to shield better since it wasn’t rated for full outdoor exposure.
