Which is better, Terraria or Minecraft?
Minecraft is a practically infinite game where every adventure is different. It’s a sandbox game more than anything. There are plenty of randomly-generated things that you can explore but there is really no story. Sure, there’s a bit of content, but in the end, it’s all just a survival game. It’s one of the safest games kids could play, and I mean that in a lot of ways. When Minecraft comes to online play, you should know that anyone can host a server and every server has its own rules. I’ve found that most Minecraft servers are much more friendly for kids than what is typical with other games. That’s not to say you’ll never find a toxic or inappropriate player, though I think just a little of that is a healthy opportunity to practice responding maturely to those kinds of situations. If they socialize with other kids then they’ll have most of the tools necessary to get started with that. (Minecraft is probably safer than school.)
