I found a video interesting because we've had a recent thread or two about Testosterone Replacement Therapy, TRT. The video is 7 minutes long. Some of the other videos on this YouTube channel seem in keeping with StrongFirst's approach so it's a channel I've been exploring. There are a dozen or so links to sources the video cites in the description.

I had my total testosterone tested last week. The result was normal - very slightly below the middle between the minimum and the maximum. I am doing this research for the second time in my life. But I was advised to test my free testosterone as well as other hormones. TSH, T3, T4, LH, FSH, Progesterone, Estradiol (Estrogen), Prolactin. However, I am overweight, I drink quite a bit of alcohol, and I think that this result is even good. Lately I've been trying not to drink and dieting. Maybe I'll wait a month or so into a healthier life and explore the other hormones as well.

I had the same questions about long-term effects and what numbers to really look at. I ended up booking a consult at a hormone therapy clinic for men in miami, and they actually walked me through blood work, what symptoms matter most, and how to approach things without jumping into full TRT if it’s not needed yet. Helped clear up a lot of noise from online forums and opinions.
