What did you want to be when you grew up?

When you were a child, who did you want to be when you grow up? I wanted to be an archaeologist or a firefighter.

Teacher. I do like my job but I'm quite disillusioned. Not by my students, by the failure of state education for most students.

When I was a child, I wanted to be a superhero. I loved the idea of fighting evil and saving other people. I wanted to become a police officer for the longest time because I imagined them as heroes fighting the bad people and defending justice. However, as I was becoming a teen and was seeing a lot of cases in which policemen were not at all heroes, hearing stories of very difficult choices that some officers had to make and the toll things like that put on some of them, I realized that I did not want to become a policeman. However, I still wanted to be a hero. I found a great option. I found this firefighter recruitment website and decided that this is the perfect job for me. I feel like I have become exactly what I wanted to be as a child.
