However, if you pick cloud platforms, then it is the liability of the vendor to take care of servers, hardware even software resources with PaaS solutions. Indeed, PaaS vendors are responsible for both software and hardware resources. I have personally used Heroku in this regard, but it is not a single option here. You can choose from these PaaS vendors if you don't like Heroku. I can suggest Google Engine, DigitalOcean and AWS hereof.
- Similarly, if we discuss control, then there is no doubt that on-premises solutions provide 100% control to businesses compared to cloud computing options.
- Furthermore, if you compare the cost of both options, then cloud platforms are much more affordable than the on-premises to build ERP software. You will also find cloud computing platforms fast with inexpensive runtime and setup. It is also swift to scale apps with cloud solutions compared to on-premises options.
