We offers Stainless Steel Ornamental tubing (also known as Stainless Steel Decorative tube) in 3 different shapes Round, Rectangular and Square. Stainless Steel Ornamental tubing is used for various purposes the most significant being architectural. This Ornamental tubing is purely decorative and is not suitable for pipe line applications where any fluids are being transported. Stainless Steel Round tube comes in a standard mirror polish (Satin 180 grit finish is available on request only) whilst Stainless Steel Square and Stainless Steel Rectangular tube is stocked standard in a 180grit Satin finish. All Ornamental tube is in accordance to a ASTM A554 Dimensional tolerances in accordance to ASTM A450 and/or ISO 1127 D3T3. Ornamental tubing Standard length is 6 meters. Sizes and wall thicknesses can be viewed by clicking onto links below General rule of thumb for exterior applications within 4kms of the coastline use only grade 316 or grade 444 is suitable. If Stainless Steel is on the coastline we strongly recommend only using a high mirror polish grade 316 (one can also further enhancing the polished surface of the tube by Electo-polishing process). Satin finish exposed to the elements on the coast line can tarnish in colour due to chloride build up on the surface. Stainless Steel Ornamental Round Tube Specifications ASTM A500 This specification covers cold-formed welded and seamless carbon steel round, square, rectangular, or special shape structural tubing for welded, riveted, or bolted construction of bridges and buildings, and for general structural purposes. ASTM A554 This specification covers seamless, straight-seam welded, and heavily cold worked welded austenitic stainless steel pipe intended for high-temperature and general corrosive service. ASTM A813 This specification covers two classes of fit-up and alignment quality straight-seam single- or double-welded austenitic steel pipe intended for high-temperature and general corrosive service. Diameter, Wall, and Ovality Tolerance – No Bead: Ovality is the difference between maximum and minimum outside diameters measured at any one cross section.There is no additional tolerance for Ovality on tubes having a nominal wall thickness of more then 3% of the outside diameter. An Ovality allowance of twice the outside diameter tolerance, shown in this table, is applied one half plus and one half minus to the outside diameter, for tubes having a nominal wall thickness of 3% or less of the specified outside diameter.
