Generally speaking, wedding gifts aren’t considered a tax write-off. Since they’re personal gifts, the IRS doesn’t allow you to deduct them from your taxes — even if they’re expensive or given to multiple people. The only exception would be if you’re donating to a qualified nonprofit in honor of the couple, but that’s a different scenario altogether.
