I had the same issue last year, and what helped was checking forums that focus on pools and spas where people shared real fixes. This backyard pool and spa forum had a bunch of detailed posts with photos showing clog points and gasket problems I hadn’t thought of. Ended up finding a small crack in my valve housing after reading a similar thread over there.
